OPPORTUNITY

A truly exceptional opportunity for a talented and experienced brewer to join the Drink West team.

With our beers already going national, our brand new fully automated 2ML brewery heading into production and work starting on our 850m2 facility and taproom in the exciting Manufactor precinct in Penrith, there’s a lot going on! Unsurprisingly, we’re now on the hunt for an experienced brewer to take over the implementation project and then transition into production to make the brewery sing and produce excellent beer: both for distribution around Australia, but also some interesting beers for what is going to be a hugely busy taproom.

We’re going to need a brewer that is comfortable creating and working within a highly organised and process driven production environment. Quality, repeatability and a desire for excellence in everything we do will be paramount. To assist in this excellence you will be working with experienced Brewing Director, Neal Cameron, therefore drive, energy, brewing knowledge and a passion for excellence will be looked on as favourably as extensive management experience.

REQUIRED

  • At least 5 years brewing in a decent production environment.
  • Brewing qualifications (IBD, TAFE, Federation University).
  • Supervisory experience.
  • Demonstrable understanding of how to make excellent beer.
  • WH&S knowledge.
  • Great team skills.

DESIRABLE

  • Distilling knowledge.
  • Experience of 5s/Kaizen/continuous improvement.
  • Experience running packaging lines.
